Privacy policy

What we ask for (only when you offer it)

• Newsletter signup: just your email. It goes to Resend, the service that sends our newsletter, so we can email you a weekly note that may or may not arrive on any given Sunday. Unsubscribe link in every email.
• Submission form: a spot name, neighborhood, what to order, why it matters, and optionally your email if you want a confirmation note. The whole thing is emailed straight to our inbox via Resend. Skip the email field and you're effectively anonymous to us.

What the server notices

When you submit a spot, our server briefly notes the IP address the request came from. That's how we keep this site from being overrun by sandwich-themed bots at 3am. We don't sell it, share it, or really look at it unless something's clearly off.

The site runs on Vercel, which keeps the usual server logs (timestamps, response codes, IPs). Standard hosting stuff. We don't open them unless something's broken.

What we don't do

• Sell your data. To whom? We don't have customers.
• Build an ad profile of you. We don't run ads.
• Share your email with anyone except Resend, who needs it to deliver the newsletter we promised.
• Use cookies for anything beyond what's required to render a page.

Analytics and pixels

Right now: nothing. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar, no nothing. If we ever add basic page-view analytics or a Meta Pixel so we can tell what's working without buying you a sandwich to find out, we'll update this page first. You're free to run a tracker blocker. We won't take it personally.

Kids

If you're under 13 and reading a sandwich-ranking website, we respect the hustle, but we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If a kid signed up for the newsletter, get a parent involved and we'll delete the address.

Your rights

Want your email off the list? Click unsubscribe on any email, or hit us up via the submit page . “Please delete me” works as the message. We'll delete it within a week. Maybe sooner if it's a Tuesday.

We are not a law firm. We are two cousins. If you're a privacy professional who hates this page, please tell us nicely via the submit page. We'll fix what's fixable.

Updates

We'll change this when the site changes. The date below moves. We won't sneak anything sinister in. There's no business model here to enable it.
